The 2026 PowerForward DuPage Scholarship Application is available and this year, (5) $1,500 scholarships will be awarded. PowerForward DuPage is proud to provide college tuition assistance to the children and grandchildren of IBEW Local 701 members and signatory contractors. IBEW Local 701 members are also eligible to apply.

2025 IBEW Local 701 Needy Members Fund Scholarship Winners

This year, the IBEW Local 701 Needy Members Fund launched its 7^th Scholarship Program and (5) additional scholarship recipients were chosen after the 2025 PowerForward DuPage scholarship winners were determined by its Board of Directors. This scholarship is a one-time award in the amount of $1,500 to be used for tuition and/or fees, books, room and board expenses.

Meade Electric has launched their 2026 Scholarship Program to provide college tuition assistance to the members of the IBEW Local 701 and their children. This program is being offered to high school seniors or currently enrolled college or trade/technical students planning to attend a university, college, community college, or trade/technical school. You do not have to be an employee of Meade Electric to apply.

The scholarship amount is yet to be determined but will be awarded in a single payment for one year and may be applied for again in each of the four years while attending school. Scholarship awards are to be used for tuition and/or fees, books, room and board expenses.

Please note all applications with supporting documents MUST be postmarked by March 15, 2026 to be eligible for consideration. Please refer to the application form for judging criteria and eligibility requirements. Winners will be notified by direct mail.
